1. Discussion of Organizational Matters and Reports
Richard Brooks, NYCC Executive Director, will bring us up to date on administrative matters.
2. Audition of Works by Members and Guests
Joseph Pehrson: "Sound Vessel" for flute, bass clarinet, percussion, acoustic guitar, keyboard, and violin. A video of a live performance. (Approx. 5 min.)
Nina Siniakova: Four Short Pieces:
1. "Shall We Dance?" (2012) for brass and percussion in a MIDI realization. (Approx. 3 min.)
2. "Life" (2011), a study for solo voice. Nina Siniakova performing live. (Approx. 3 min.)
3. "Stay!" (2011) for flute, viola, and contrabass in a CD recording. (Approx. 1 min.)
4. "Sensu" (Japanese for "fan") (2012) for clarinet and piano in a MIDI realization. (Approx. 1 min.)
Jonathan Katz: Two Works:
1. Title to be determined (2012) for string sextet, cl., perc., and dancers in a CD recording. (Approx. 16 min.)
2. Marionettenfädendurcheinanderwalzer (2011) for fl., ob., vn., vc., pno., and dancers in a CD recording. (Approx. 6 min.)
Any remaining time will be devoted to auditioning works brought to the Salon by members and guests.
